You misunderstand what I mean by price controls.

I don't mean controlling your expenses, even if the control is the government controlling expenses.

I mean government set price limits on what people or corporations can decide to pay each other. Not limits on what will be reimbursed by a government program, or how much a government program will pay for something.

Price controls are things like "rent control", or "anti-gouging laws", or "the dairy compact", not things like "Medicare will reimburse $X for procedure Y".
