My position is straight forward. We don't know what the costs are of the current system. Most people would agree that decreasing business flexibility to respond to change is impinging on freedoms. This moves us away from a capitalistic system towards socialism; while some people prefer rationing, most people in the US are here as an expresson of their objection to that system.

If you wish to convince me that limiting rights is a public good, I am at a loss to understand why it is my responsibility do the heavy lifting.
