Only if you think the poor and middle class will be paying for the debt in the future.

More likely is that taxes on the rich will have to be raised, perhaps to rates comparable to the EU. It's not a foregone conclusion that the debt will be paid for by the lower classes ... except indirectly in terms of higher inflation, higher interest payments (as you point out), etc.

No, you don't. You simply lower the liability for that "class." Period.
