Somebody suggested that investing in WCEC was like catching a falling knife. Well, it looks like the knife keeps falling. This week the stock has dropped below 2 bucks a share. I'm still holding my breath, because the valuation remains compelling. By my own figures, with 250 owned stores with 14 mill shares trading at 1.75, the valuation of each store is about one hundred thousand per store, a complete steal considering that I have not even factored in the other 250 franchised stores which the co. collects 7% of revenues as a franchise fee. I am thinking about writing a letter to the company questioning whether the CEO's frequent trips from Ohio to Philly are being paid by company funds. (The CEO lives in Ohio and commutes to the Philly headquarters several days per week; this fact alone might explain why the market has no confidence in this organization).
