Bill,

The mortgage is just one example, there are literally thousands of others.

And isn't this about the bulk of computerized transactions that have a relatively short lifespan... a stock buy-sell that's executed over a 3 day period... an auto insurance policy that renews on an annual basis... a dental appointment (hardly mission critical) scheduled for every 6 months.

BTW... have you made you living in software systems for any extended period of time?
