Latest Results Further Delineate High Grade Copper Near Surface at First Narrows' Chester Project
Hole C-06-025 intersected 24.6 meters of 3.93% Copper, including 4.2 meters of 8.93% copper, near surface
Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, January 24, 2007 /FSC/ - First Narrows Resources Corp. (UNO - TSX Venture, FNRWF - OTCBB), ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to report the latest assay results from the 2006 phase of the resource definition drill program completed on the 100% owned portion of the Chester Copper-Polymetallic Feeder Deposit. The feeder deposit is interpreted as a mineralized cigar-like structure greater than 1,000 meters (>3,250 ft.) in length with one to three (or more) stacked, gently westerly inclined and northerly striking, sheet-like internal zones of higher-grade mineralization of variable thicknesses.
Holes C-06-024 to -029 inclusive further delineated the copper zone. Significant high grade copper mineralization was intersected in hole C-06-025 over a core thickness of 24.6 meters (80.7 ft.) averaging 3.93% copper, including a higher grade section of 4.2 meters (13.8 ft.) averaging 8.93% copper (To view photos of core samples visit: www.uno.ca).
Hole C-06-027 intersected the western edge of the Central zinc-lead-silver VMS deposit with the copper zone located 6.3 meters (20.7 ft.) beneath it. HOLE C-06-024 Collar Coordinates - 5219915N, 710162.5E; UTM Grid, NAD83, dip vertical

The 2006 phase of the resource definition drill program consisted of 22 diamond drill holes completed on the eastern shallow end of the gently inclined Chester copper-polymetallic feeder deposit. All 22 holes were sampled and to date analytical results from 10 holes have been reported. To review previously reported results (January 17, 2006 and January 11, 2006) visit: www.uno.ca.
Hole C-06-026 and -029 intersected the historical 450 meter (1,476 ft.)decline. Two other drill holes in the recent drill program also intersected the decline. Since a survey plan of the decline has not been part of the historical data retrieved from the public records, these drill hole-decline intersections are the only precise records the Company has concerning its exact location.
The copper zone, which is immediately accessible from the historical decline, is open to the north, west and east. The overall zone of mineralization dips westerly at 15 to 20 degrees such that the true thicknesses are approximately 93% of the assay intervals reported from the Company's vertical drill holes. Analyses for secondary metal credits will be carried out on composited sample intervals determined by the copper assay results and an in-house Chester Project scoping study.
All samples have been sent to Activation Laboratories Ltd. in Ancaster, Ontario for analysis. Samples were analyzed on a Varian Vista Pro ICP for Cu, Pb, Zn, and Ag using a method Activation Laboratories is accredited to ISO 17025 and CAN-P1579 by the Standards Council of Canada. Certified Canmet Reference Standards and OREAS reference standards are used as controls. Quality Assurance also includes the analysis of blanks, pulp duplicates and preparation duplicates.
Mr. Earnest Brooks, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Chester Project. Mr. Brooks has 37 years experience in mine geology and exploration in the Chibougamau and Bathurst Mining Camps including 15 years at the BMS mines, Bathurst, NB.
The Chester property is located in the southern part of the Bathurst Mining Camp approximately 53 kilometers (kms) west of the City of Miramichi, and 72 kms southwest of the city of Bathurst, New Brunswick.
