I've long found it odd that Dems, who generally side with the weak against the strong, can't see that a fetus vs an adult is the ultimate example of the weak vs the strong. I should state that my own biases are strongly in favor of a compromise, since I'm actually anti-abortion but very pro-family planning, so I win both ways if it were to happen. Not often that one finds one self on the winning side both ways in a compromise. :))
