Looking at the horrible mess we made in Iraq, and looking at the truly terrible things that have gone on in our name, it is remarkable that Bush wants to stay to 'finish the job'. On the other hand, it is little wonder that Iraqis are praying that Bush does not 'finish the job' because the job has turned out to be destroying an already crippled country and unleashing the dogs of hell on them. Perhaps they would like the US to stop 'getting the job done' before Iraq arrives at the destination to which we are taking them -- to hell on a one way ticket.

Baker came up with an alternative -- but Bush does not need an alternative -- he alone knows what to do, as evidenced by his brilliance as Commander in Chief thus far.
