Its a pretty simple statement (which also has the benefit of being correct). If you want to dispute it fine, but there isn't any good reason for you to be confused by it.

It's too simple. Of course it hasn't been shown to be true...it hasn't happened yet. That's what the dispute is all about.

You take the view of some and apply it inaccurately to most or all.

Really? Bush's first act in office was to kill our participation in Kyoto.

Of course he did declare that he would come back with an alternative within the year...that was 6 years ago. You're right...he's taking his time to study the matter. By the time he's done studying, he'll be out of office and won't have to deal with it. Just like Iraq...he can pass it to his successor, while continuing to maintain that he has a duty not to pass problems to future presidents.

What's your point?

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and the bill's biggest opponent, said, "Like Kyoto, this is an extreme approach." Inhofe has called global warming a hoax perpetrated by environmentalists on the American public.

This is the man that the GOP named to chair the committee that deals with such issues. They must really believe in the problem eh?
