Respectfully disagree. The political class in a democracy decides whats best. Hopefully there is input and transparency but thats not always the case. Some of us want to be soldier but most of us dont. Thats the way the world has evolved. Bush doesnt have to send his daughters to justify fp. Same for Clinton and Chelsea and for any future president. So many years after Vietnam i refuse to feel guilty because only a small percentage of folks choose to fight or encourage their kids to fight. I have two grandsons. We could be fighting evil Godzilla and i wouldnt want them anywhere near combat.
