If I had a daughter, I would be UNBEARABLE as a father! The thought of MY GIRL bringing home somebody like me is too much to bear! I was at my brothers house years ago and his teen daughter was waiting to get picked up for a date. My brother was listening to "The Godfather" soundtract while I was cleaning my hand gun when the boy arrived. He was a nice enough kid but he wore an earring, which to this day doesn't sit well with me. I stared at him for a couple seconds, sternfaced, and said "HEY...KID...what's that in your ear?" He stood there during a couple second pause with his mouth open to speak, but nothing came out. "What are you? A pirate or a faggot?" I said. He stood looking at me for the smile on my face that never appeared. My niece came out of her room about the time I was reassembling my handgun and they started out the door. My brother, in his normal stern tone, stopped them with "KAREN.......11 O'CLOCK"! "OK daddy", and they left. We got a few chuckles out of it and my brother said " They'll BE home by 11 o'clock!!!". 10:30, Karen came in crying - saying she's never going to get a date until she's old enough to move out. She's in her late 30's now and STILL tells that story.
