From 1930 through 1960, the average was 43.7 degrees. In other words, it was warmer for three decades, and there was clearly no large rise in sea level.

You know......you guys really piss me off with your playing with the facts. Sea levels don't rise quickly because the earth's surface is 60% water......its takes a lot of melted ice to make a difference. The melting that has gone on and off for most of the 20th century is finally causing sea levels to rise albeit slowly. The first island to disappear from this rise in sea levels occurred last summer. More are expected this year. You can play with the facts all you want......the reality still trumps whatever you say. Mr. Bush found that out this past November.

BTW global warming did not start in the last ten years........the impact has been felt in varying degrees throughout most of the 20th century.
