So the statement of NOKIA having until DEC 2008 to renew the license at the same terms was made at the London conference on Nov. 13, 2006. I believe the statement that Qcom had NOT continued with its stock buy back in that past quarter because of info that was not public might - which was stated in the Nov. 2, 2006 earnings cc - might have meant the BAD news that Altman dropped at the London Conference a week later. Maybe it was this bad news and NOT good news that was the reason that Q did not continue with stock buyback. At this latest CC yesterday, Jan. 24th, they did say that even though the stock was UNDERVALUED, Q did not continue with the the stock buy back program with the same silly reason.

Whatever is in the NOKIA licensing agreement that was signed in 2001 STINKS! Somebody screwed up royally IMHO! The same screwup in allowing EDGE phones using CDMA with NO royalty all this time!
