>>> Mr. Ray likes to claim that he is an expert and knows lots of inside information..

I haven't claimed to be an "expert" in any field, and I've surely not had any inside information, ever, on either of these companies. I'm comfortable discussing topics related to computer science and accounting; anything else is admittedly well beyond my expertise.

But I understand the basics -- something you seem to be having a little trouble with.

I can tell you [and Rich] that SIRI hasn't been using HM since last year, as he has repeatedly claimed. After he last made that claim, I reconfirmed it with a most competent individual who has access to a modulation analyzer. I believe he also referred to a rumor started by some "idiots" at SiriusBackstage.com.

For the record, XM was broadcasting using HM (at a very conservative bitrate) late last year (Sept-Nov) on the low channel transponders only, prior to the switchover to XM4. At that time, they were doing "live testing". The simulation testing had occurred months before.
