**ATTENTION:BIG RUMOR**

I hate to post this type of information but given the enigmatic stock action of both WSTL and AMTX the last few days-It may me worthwile just as a thought experiment-I was told from someone who recently contacted their analyst at Montgomery Securities about the decline in WSTL last week-apparently the analyst hinted at a possible 'relationship' between AMTX and WSTL-now I obviously don't have any details-but is it possible that WSTL and AMTX could merge??!! here is my logic for even presenting this idea:
-WSTL drops from $26-$21 (stabilizing a little higher) in 3 days WITH NO NEWS
-AMTX pops from $15-19 in a few days WITH NO NEWS
-AMTX is in need of cash and could not exist much longer without an influx of capital
-WSTL needs intellectual property (primarily a good DMT solution)
-GTE is rumored to have selected both AMTX and WSTL for their ADSL solution-perhaps that was an indication that their technologies were good complements
-ADSL is highly competitive market-these smaller companies will not make it without consolidation

THIS IS RUMORED-but I believe a discussion of this possibilty is necessary-any thoughts???? IMHO only jeremic
