The problem a lot of liberals have with this issue is they don't realize that Obama was invented for use as a sandbag. The took a mediocre young politician with an great education and made him out to be the next Tiger Woods for media praise. It is his job to take the hits for their future front runner. In that way they blame evil racists for destroying his image and get the black vote behind the emerging candidate. Bait and Switch. Pretty common. Now everyone is supposed to believe that the Republicans are the mean bastards that exposed this. Real or imagined, it likely came from Hillary's army of counter ops. Much like the Al Gore revolving door issue that ran against Dukakis. It was of course Republican dirty tricks.
