The USSR was a paper tiger as far as military superiority over the US.

Of course, the US was on the other side of the world and they only needed to worry about the US b/o its alliance with western Europe (NATO). W/O NATO, the USSR was more than a "paper tiger" in respect to the European nations.

The rest of the Eastern European countries were totally ruined by the nazis and the Soviets as they pursued the nazis.

The same was true of much of western Europe too.

You seem to belong to that group of Americans which refuses to accept any progress that doesn't fall into a set of preconceived notions as embodied in the America of the 1700s. I suppose you use leeches instead of antibiotics.

That paragraph doesn't seem to have any relationship to the things I had to say about Europe.
