In one post, you claim that a given codec is "vastly superior", and in the other post, you claim that you have no formal technical training, and that you really don't know which codec is better.. Which one is it?

I never claimed "I don't know which is better". I can certainly sit and read technical material about it and determine which is better (apparently, you are unable to do so). I do have a grasp of the basics of data compression.

But that's not even necessary. The fact that the OWNER of the PAC codec (and everyone else but Sirius, since SIRI is stuck with it) has abandoned it for THEIR OWN projects makes its inferiority self evident and without question a lesser product.

I have NOT claimed I have "no formal technical training" in the area of computer science as I certainly do. And codecs are a product of computer science. I have never written written an audio codec, however, although I have developed innumerable projects involving other kinds of data compression, some in the days before data compression was a household word, and pretty much all of which employ similar concepts. This is an area where I'm confident my knowledge of the subject, however weak it is, is better than yours.
