I appreciate your support on this but as bizarre as it sounds I must defend Rink. He is trying to be fair and I believe he would have imposed this on anyone else under the same circumstances. Rink's fairness is not in question here, it's he judgement and ability to handle this job. I believe he's gone too far in trying to impose an internet utopia where everybody is always happy and nice to each other. That's not the way the world works, so in that sense we are in agreement, but he is applying his standards more or less evenly. I just don't agree with his standards. I also believe he isn't well equipped emotionally to handle this responsibility because he suffers from childish bursts of anger. That's not a good trait for a moderator. Additionally, his language skills are not quite up to the task and he misreads many things. Finally, he tends to believe he knows what other people are thinking and reads things into their posts that were never intended.

So in summation, whatever the board wants is fine with me. My life won't change in any significant way. As for Rink, let's not confuse differences of opinion with sinister intent. He's not competent for this job but in his mind he's trying to be fair. Let's remember the difference.
