"And the media cover the man made GW subject pro bono??"

Let me get this straight. You are claiming that the media is the driving force behind GW? Are the they secret pool of money for the grants?

I'll grant you they do make money off of it. But they make a whole lot more money about Brittney roaming around town sans panties. Or Paris Hilton doing most anything. Or any number of things. Certainly not enough to be the main force behind the issue.

"Any idea of the money involved? Every single 45 minutes spot on the air pulls in a profit or the issue of same spot will never see the air again."

In a typical mid-market, advertising goes for $200 per 30 second slot per 1000 viewers. So that hour program slot goes goes for $6400 per hour per 1000 viewers. Given that there haven't been many hour long GW programs that are anywhere near prime time, that should show you how big of profits they think are there. At best it gets maybe a 5 minute mention as a filler.
