Frankly I dont understand this basic net business to begin with. My wife is a nurse in a hospital. BY LAW anyone showing up on an emergency basis MUST BE TREATED, like it or not. Then we have Medicare which by and large is a successful program of health care for the aged (I do think it ought to be dropped to 55 or so with those under 65 paying the full premium without govt. support). Truth is our young people need very little health care except in the infant years. So, I think this is all a big too doo over nothing. The UNINSURED that are poor are presently taken care of by the State, its the older middle class that is uninsured that needs to be addressed and for the most part extending Medicare would solve the problem with no additional bureacracy. jdn
