Carter was the architect of many of the problems in the middle east, so don't tell me about Carter he was a disaster as President. Kennedy was the guy who started the policy on Cuba, and frankly, the US has carried that way too far. The looming Problem with Iran is probably the same problem that we had with Saddam. He was the one who claimed the weapons, Iran is the one claiming to be working towards a Nuclear Solution to Israel. The problem with Iran Started with Carter, why will replacing bush solve a problem that is that old? The answer is it won't. Solar Technology in Carter's time was mostly hope. It would have been far too expensive for the amount that would have been produced, however not that the technology is being perfected, it is time to take another look. BTW we were heating our pool with solar heat in the 1970's. Until the price of gasoline goes up to $5.00 a gallon, the US Public will not give up the gasoline engine. I support raising it to that height tomorrow. Yes some of the poor will starve, and some will freeze to death, but America will become stronger and better without them.
