CNN just showed a debate between Islamic nut cases and sensible moderates in the UK. Obviously the nut cases are A-holes and mad men. But you should see the way the establishment Muslims put them in their places, calling them evil murderers, mentally ill and a plague on Islam. Clearly the majority of Muslims detest these radicals to twist the Koran's words. So beware of painting an entire religion with the same brush. Instead, support the moderates.

Almost all religions include extremist nut cases who make trouble for the others. This is certainly true with evangelical Christians whose radicals advocate killing of Planned Parenthood employees andfederal judges and lust for Armageddon fantasies to come true.

Bush's Iraq policy hasn't helped. Bush has probably doubled the amount of radical Islamic killers in the world just by giving Al Qaida types a "devil" to point to. Ironically, when Bush pandered to the religious right calling Iran "evil", he created a lot of new evil.
