Israel, Great Britain and Australia are the only allies we have in the world. Each one of them is precious.

It is important to point out however that Israel is the recipient of over $2B per year of our over $20B in foreign aid. Neither of our other allies is surrounded by hostile nations and neither of them is a large recipient of US foreign aid.

Some would consider Israel bought and paid for. They would be wrong, that doesn't stop many people.
