"Now how can you win every battle and lose a war?"

Depends on your definition of a battle. Shorty is correct, with the WWII definition of "battle", we won every one. But, we couldn't control much beyond Saigon and our firebases. All of that is not relevant, though. We didn't lose in Vietnam, we just negotiated a cessation of hostilities. Only the dead enders see it as a loss. IF there were any strategic interests in South East Asia, that had ended long before. To stay would have served no interests and would have resulted in more casualties.

You know this. I know this, Shorty, arguably, doesn't actually "know" anything. Knowing implies comprehension. He shows little or no sign of this. This is a guy who believes a seatbelt extender is a deadly weapon...
