I want there to be a full on assault, allow our troops to be soldiers in war, rather than target practice for teenagers with bombs planted at night

The full on assault part of the Iraq invasion lasted about 4-6 weeks. It's over.

If that's what you want, advocate full immediate withdrawal (to bases in Kuwait and Qatar), and if whatever comes out of the infighting in Iraq is not to our liking, have another full on 4-6 week assault in a year or two. Repeat for the next 20-50 years until the resultant Iraqi government is acceptable.

Iraqi civil war doesn't really do much to harm US interests, despite what the Bush regime tells the public. Having Sunni's and Shias fighting amongst themselves pretty much eliminates the time radicals in either factions have to devote to attacking foreign countries. Eventually something has to come out of an Iraqi civil war (or pan-Arab-Persian war, whatever), and that "something" will have leaders, locations and systems of government. If the US doesn't like that something or feels threatened by that something, another 4-6 week full on assault will probably take care of it.
