The US could squash Iran very quickly, the only reason iraq is taking so long is the Americans don't want to hurt anyone. taking a page from your friend adolf, a blitzkrieg strategy would disembowel iran in about 24 hours. The only problem is if you decide to occupy the place. But to simply destroy it and walk away, that is easy.
