China signed the technical transformation contract with Japan

Inner Mongolia Rare Earth Ovonic High-power MH/Ni Battery Electrode Co., Ltd and Inner Mongolia Rare Earth Ovonic High-power MH/Ni Battery Co., Ltd are the holding companies by Inner Mongolia Baotou-Steel Rare Earth High-Tech Co. Ltd. (REHTC). They signed the contracts of “The contract of technology transfer and service of D-type High-power MH/Ni battery electrode production line”, “The contract of equipment supply and purchase of D-type High-power MH/Ni battery electrode production line”; “The contract of technology transfer and service of D-type High-power MH/Ni battery production line” and “The contract of equipment supply and purchase of D-type High-power MH/Ni battery production line” with Japan cherry Industry Commercial Firm on December 8, 2006. The total amount of these contracts is 870 million yen, equivalent to RMB59.247 million. Two production lines used to transfer technology and technical services for 176 million yen, equipment costs for the introduction of 694 million yen. According to the progress of implementation of reconstruction projects in the contract, to be completed all innovation projects by the end of June 2007 with the terms of check before acceptance.
At present, technical transformations of two company production lines has already begun to carried out, other relative jobs such as technical transfer, training already proceeded as planned and without a hitch.
