Hi John! I think there was a PR or two last year about the Lamaque Mine and they have been consistent about water on the lower levels. If memory serves they completed a thorough inspection of the decline and the mine areas and determined that ground conditions were good. From there they sampled various quartz veins and other structures.

I think they had a Phase 1 and Phase 2 plan in mind that did not require them to get below the 1500 level, which is where the water is. In fact, they have blocked out 11,000 tonnes of ore for mining as the "bulk sample" which they believe will produce 7,500 oz of Au. I suspect they have enough ore to keep them going until the rest of the mine is dewatered, inspected and sampled.
