Franklin Mining, Bolivia SA Signs Zinc Contract - 1/30/2007 LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan 30, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Franklin Mining, Inc. - FMNJ - is today announcing having entered into a contract for the sale of 50,000 tons of Zinc concentrate at 47% minimum to a consortium representing multiple entities in Japan. The consortium, headed by a former Bolivian Ambassador to Japan, is obtaining financing through the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation for the purchase of the product.
Under terms of this contract, Franklin is permitted to consolidate ore concentrates from both its Cerro Rico and Pulacayo resources.
Japanese refinery companies recovering the Zinc will also pay for the silver content of the concentrate.
