James, Orders placed BEFORE the market opens can have issues. The MM may not answer the phone, for instance. Starting at 9:15am the MMs put up their indications for the open. This can change several time before 9:30am.

If you want to buy DCTC, you can always put in a MARKET ORDER and if the size you want is less than 2,100 shares you might get it at the ASK. But I woundn't do that myself. I'd wait for a PULL BACK on LIGHT VOLUME, that followed a RUN-UP on HEAVIER VOLUME.

This could be a classic shake 'em out and a good time to by at a temporary "low".
