Among British Muslims aged 16 to 24, 37 percent said they would prefer to live under Islamic sharia law instead of under British civil law, whereas only 17 percent of respondents over the age of 55 indicated a preference for religious law.

Perhaps most disturbing to British authorities is the report's finding that 13 percent of 16-to-24-year-old Muslims in Britain "admire organizations like al-Qaeda that are prepared to fight the West."
