I severed my rotator cuff and it had to be repaired with open surgery. It had to be stapled to and fused to the bone. The pain after the operation was excruciating and the rehabilitation was long and hard. The good news is that hard work in rehab pays off and I had 100% range of motion in a few months. Arthroscopic, on the other hand, requires very little hospital stay, not much pain, and a quicker rehab. I hope she only needs the later!
