The process isn't painless. In the short term the change hurts, just as buggy manufactures may have lost their jobs when people started to use the automobile. That's why its called creative destruction, rather then "creative improvement" or something like that.

But what you are choosing to ignore is that the change hurts everyone but the well off who were involved either as investors or upper mgmt. They ended up doing very well........esp. upper mgmt. And that's what is wrong with the American economic system.
