Globe says investigators' report ready for lawyers this week

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, October 1, edition that a
report prepared by investigators working for Bre-X Minerals will be filed
with the firm's lawyers by the end of this week. The Globe's News bulletins
column says the report is being prepared by Forensic Investigative
Associates. The company was hired by Bre-X last May to investigate alleged
fraud at Bre-X's Busang gold project in Indonesia. Richard Skeith, a
Calgary lawyer representing Bre-X, said yesterday he expects to receive the
report in the next two days. He was not sure when the report will be made
public.
