To destroy essential services would be mean spirited in my opinion.
South Africa seems to have settled their grievances in a somewhat civil manner.
Why cannot the Zionists and Palestinians?
The Mizrahi Jews thrived in those Arab lands for Centuries. It is not totally out of the question for them to return. They held positions of importance in business, science, and government.
They were not essential services in 1945. They are not essential services in Palestine today. Why would the Jews, being driven from Israel leave anything for the Muslims?
Israelis and palestinians cannot settle their differences because palestinians won't allow it. As for the Mizrahi jews, they were driven out of their homes by Muslim Governments, who in some cases have laws forbidding Jews from living in their countries. That might be somewhat of a deterrent. You keep supposing that Jews could go back to Arab countries they were driven out of, can you name one of those countries who would welcome Jews? Lebanon? Syria? Egypt? Saudi Arabia? No well maybe Iran or Iraq? no they don't want them either.
South africans did not have the poisonous relationship of Muslims and Jews. When Israel tried to return land to the Palestinians the reaction of the Palestinians was to use it as a chance to kill more Jews.
But I believe that israel needs to close the borders, and when missiles are fired into Israel, instead of going after the attackers, which is not the business of Israelis, they simply fire back into Palestine, unaimed, unguided, with the maximum payload possible, just as the Palestinians do, just fire them into the Palestine. And stop with the negotiations, Israel has been negotiating for 60 years, no more negotiations, if the palestinians have an offer to make, Israel should look at it, but the onus should now fall to the palestinians. |
