Windsurfing an elitist sport? Who told you that, Karl Rove?

An elite sport is something which costs many thousands of dollars to participate in, like helicopter skiing, deep-sea fishing or yachting, or even playing golf at fancy country clubs.

I think can get a windsurfing rig for $300. check Ebay. And then it costs nothing to try. It's exactly like mountain-biking in that respect. The middleclass can afford it and hundreds of thousands of them take part. I've never heard of any elitist windsurfing group. In fact, it was invented by a surf bum.

Next you're going to tell me skateboarding in an elitist sport because poor people don't do nose wheelies. What's wrong with you, dude? California's favorite water sport is surfing, and windsurfing is just surfing with a sail.

What this is really all about is the GOP finding anything to lie about they can, and avoiding real issues or solutions to real problems.
