Re: "I'm talking about nationalities, you're bringing race into it..."
No, actually, I was EXCLUDING 'race' from the issue you brought up!
But, if you want to discuss the issues you raised *ONLY* in terms of 'nationality' then, OK, let's:
At that *point-in-time* (post WW I British mandate in Palestine, British having been assigned political control by League of Nations, political control having been *taken* from one of the losers of that first World War, the Ottoman Empire... who had exerted control for a couple of centuries there...), at that point-of-time, prior to the establishment of the modern State of Israel, NEITHER Jews nor the Arab peoples living in the territories of Palestine had 'a country'.
So... I'm not sure I see where you can say that 'nationalities' are the issue --- since NEITHER had any nation.
Now, on to the second thing: [Have you ever considered how differently modern world history might have played out if the World Zionism Council had decided to establish it's modern State of Israel in Ghana?] "Have you ever considered how differently modern world history might have played out if turtles sprouted wings?"
Why would I do that?
Was there ever an 'international turtle homeland' movement like the World Zionism Movement that encouraged dreams of a re-born Jewish homeland?
(And did it ever come down to a final decision of the membership between TWO POSSIBILITIES to urge settlement in --- Ghana & 'Palestine Mandate Territories' --- with Ghana losing by one vote?)
(Frankly, GZ... I've never heard of your 'flying turtle' international movement. I'm beginning to think you just made the whole thing up. :-) |
