So typical. Have the governments decide winners and losers. Anyone who have ever traveled to Europe will have noticed how much higher the standards of living for the middle class / average workers is right? (VBG) The amount of disposable income required to enjoy the benefits of the internet and modern communication is far higher than in the States. Choices in media (TV as an example) are far more limited. Books cost more, movies cost more. During a recent trip to London I saw movie prices of 17 GBP in Leicester Square. (about 34 USD) Seems to me that the European consumers pay dearly for their governments choices. I know national pride plays a big role, but I truly do feel sorry for the average citizen upon whose back the economics of these egocentric policies are carried. The recent German payola scandal illustrates some of the methods used to stifle competition. This is just the very tip of the iceberg.
