Hi protege

My daughter is working at a heli-skiing lodge this winter.
2 weeks in, a week out.
Marvelous experience by her account.
Out of my league price-wise-$9500CDN a week she says and that only cover about 1/3 the skiing the guests get in a good week.
5 star meals, great staff, pleasant guests, and she got 13 runs her last stint in. She's happy!

Visited her last week and we skied/rode Silver Star in Vernon.

Good snow, had powder one day.
Decent steeps on the Powder Gulch chair for this punter. Rode with the young crowd so I was pressed for the three days.
Mid week had the runs virtually empty and maybe a a half dozen one minute lift waits. One wonders how they pay for things when it is that slow?

Did one day at The Big White(out).

Can't say much about the mtn as I never did see it. Fog combined with a drizzle that froze on ones goggles and outerwear made for an unpleasant experience. Pub had Granville Island on tap though.

With the bulk of my skiing in the Rockies I found the warm weather in January, limited visibility, and mist at lower elevations a bit disconcerting.
