john, that's my point, cpq crash 30 times since I've owned it and 200 shares is still worth almost 1 million despite 30 pull backs of at least 30%...gggg.
I pinoneered moving the world to mini's and now pioneer moving us to
client server on proliants etc. In this environment
exchange2000.com
last IBM mainframe was when I was at A&M in 60's and Cameron Iron and Xerox in the early 70's.
Yes, if you just lay bets down with options the it's a losers game.
althoguh know people learned that you sell a put and collect the cash but you have a put a couple of strikes down to cover disaster.
Did you know that Compaq never never never had mvs or mainframe and their systems prowess is better than any IBM run company.
Until cpq bot tandem their profit per employee was maybe 4 times IBM's and double and triple any other mfg'er. Dell was the closest but was more than cpq's.

Anyway, what are you doing on cpq thread, buying stk???
I know IBM is back and I'm glad.
