I am just a disappointed as you are JP, however there is always the distinct possibility that Qualcomms law suits will, in the end, vindicate our company and teach the bastards a good lesson.

I don't see any way out of this other than to fight them in the courts, even though it looks like a crap shoot to me. If we were to give in to the schmucks now, it would be like a house of cards falling. As one license after another comes to the end of it's term, there would be an endless string of reluctance to re-up for another term, and Q would be forced to keep lowering the royalty rate to get licenses signed.

Our only hope is to fight and win... not give in. Unfortunately I have to agree with Cramer. It makes the inventors of this stuff think twice before including any Q IP. They will try to engineer around if at all possible. They will use inferior technology just to avoid paying anything to Q. Seems like a catch 22 to me.
