VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 2, 2007 -- First Narrows Resources Corp. (CDNX:UNO.V - News) and (Other OTC:FNRWF.PK - News) ("First Narrows" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that 6 drill holes totaling 285 meters (935 ft.) have been completed since drilling resumed January 26, 2007 on the Chester Feeder Deposit for the purpose of completing a National Instrument 43-101 qualifying mineral resource estimate. Drilling continues.

Metallurgy

The core from holes C-07-042, -043 and -044 has been forwarded to the metallurgical division of The Research and Productivity Council ("RPC") (www.rpc.ca) in Fredericton, New Brunswick. RPC will proceed to sample, composite, and assay the mineralization for advanced metallurgical investigations of the Chester Feeder Deposit copper and secondary metal mineralization.

All other holes are being logged and prepared for sampling and shipping for assay.

Environmental

The Company has also entered into an agreement with Conestoga-Rovers and Associates (CRA) (www.CRAworld.com), also of Fredericton, to provide geological and environmental services for the Chester project. CRA will also provide community and regulatory consultation services to First Narrows as Chester advances towards completion of a NI 43-101 resource estimate.

Pending Assays from 2006 Drilling

Analytical results for 12 diamond drill holes from the 2006 phase of the resource definition drill program are pending and will be reported as they are received. To review previously reported results (January 24, 2006, January 17, 2006 and January 11, 2006) visit: www.uno.ca

The NI 43-101 qualifying mineral resource estimate drilling, analytical and surveying programs are being monitored by independent consultants Robert Sim, P.Geo. and Bruce Davies. Earnest Brooks, P.Geo., is the Company's Qualified Person on the Chester Project. Mr. Brooks was formerly a Mine Geologist at the Patino Mines Copper Rand Mines Div. in Chibougamau, Quebec, and a mining operations geologist and exploration geologist at the BMS mines, Bathurst, from 1975 to 1990.

The Chester property is located in the southern part of the Bathurst Mining Camp approximately 53 kilometers (kms) west of the City of Miramichi, and 72 kms southwest of the city of Bathurst, New Brunswick.

Chester Copper-Polymetallic Feeder Deposit

The copper-polymetallic feeder deposit is an east-west trending gently west plunging cigar shaped deposit within an alteration zone approximately 75 meters (246 ft.) or more in thickness and greater than 200 meters (656 ft.) in width. It extends west of the current planned drilling area for more than 1 kilometer ( > 3,280 ft.). At the east end it lies close to surface and at the western extent of the company's drilling it is more than 400 meters (1,320 ft.) below surface. The copper-polymetallic mineralization within the feeder deposit varies from low to high grade.
