Maybe there is a fund in trouble. A fund that was short the stock market, short builders and long gold.
But why would the fund blow up like that ? Gold has been strong. Builders have broken out only days ago.

IMO it would have to be a run, engineered by some big fish.

Another possibility is simply some CB dumping gold, as they didn't like the breakout that projected 750 as the next target.
