I think there are still folks holding from the last run up because it is human nature not to want to admit mistakes. So if you were unlucky to buy high last time, didn't sell, and got caught holding the "stock", you might be hoping for some relief this time around, proving the initial decision to buy was the correct one. I've certainly done it, and will likely do it again (but hopefully not too often). Don't you just hate it.
