Could you elaborate on sunni shiaa differences in iraq from your perspective
During Saddam's regime the Shiaa were against the government not shiaa against sunni. I believe that the Shiaa Sunni thing manifested after the US invasion and the Toppling of Saddam regime. The Iraqis were more of proud nationalists. So religious sect did not matter much.
Can the strife be put back in the bottle?
I do not know, but I hope so.
Or is full scale civil war inevitable?
Only if outside forces stop meddling in Iraqi affairs
Do you have personal bias against shiaa or just iranians?
Iran is taking advantage of the situation in the Arab world and also to prove itself as the new power in the ME. Thus, Israel and the US are in panic mode. You see the Arab leaders are sleeping on the wheel. After the fact, they complain about Iran. It is kind of Iran pulled the rug from under them. (no pun intended) Do not not forget that most Arab regimes are pro US indirectly.
Just curious on the thought process from someone from the area.
you mean New Jersey? LOL
