I heard a commentator the other day that said when a former Iranian President was wanting to improve relations with the U.S., the U.S. declined meeting with him as he wielded no real power, and it would be a waste of time. The U.S. is just blowing up this wannabe Saddam sounding leader, for the next boogeyman.
