As some of you know, my wife has been looking for a lakefront house for us here in the Detroit suburbs.

This morning she told me about the following:

A 2300 ft house on Green Lake (no motorcraft) built in 1984. Mrs. Ork says it's ugly.

Bought in 2001 for $400k (asking price was $399k)

The owners were obviously doing some work on it because there are (were, they're no good) several contractors liens on it.

There's now a sheriff's deed on the property for $530k

The house is listed for sale for $475.

Ork's comment: I haven't seen it but it's probably not worth more than $350k.
