I'm not sure that's going to happen. Overall employment is still very strong and many people are simply tired of waiting to move on with their lives. Rents have moved up substantially and inventories in the hot areas like Orange County and San Francisco California are well down from their highs last Summer.

The few people who can't afford their arm resets won't tank the entire market. The amount of demand for housing and the willingness to jump at even small price declines is surprising.
