GLOBAL WARMING: I also watched Charlie Rose last night on PBS interview one of the authors of the UN report on global warming, Michael Oppenheimer of Princeton university. 2500 scientists were involved in that report. When Rose asked Oppenheimer what about the dissenting scientists, Oppenheimer said: " when you have 2500 who believe in global warming caused by man and 3 that do not, that is to be expected and no one takes them seriously. But what Oppenheimer said next is really interesting: he said the report they issued which said their was a 90% chance of global warming caused by man was based on models they developed, that they then tested against outcomes, WAS THE MOST CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATE!!! Oppenheimer, said he thought the problem would be much worse than the report had predicted and felt eventually the sea will rise hundreds of feet and we will return to the climate of the dinosaur. I think he also said the climate could also get completely out of control. But like my son in law, his first worry was the rising sea levels and what it will do to coastal communities and stronger hurricanes.
